The Bad Boys & Rick Mahorn Live on NBA Game Time June 27 2016

The Detroit Bad Boys' own Rickey Mahorn took the "Bad Boys" live to NBA Game Time on NBA TV last week. Mahorn surprised everyone on set by planting original Detroit Bad Boys T-Shirts on everyone's chair. Along side Rick Kamla, Mahorn discussed his historic Detroit Pistons team and reminisced about the good old days; the fights, the fun, and that championship time when it felt so good to be bad.

The Boys Are Back April 15 2014

The iconic Detroit Bad Boys logo was created in late 1988 by Billy Berris, president of The Athletic Supporter Ltd., a Farmington Hills, Michigan based silkscreen T-shirt company.

This copyrighted design, with a skull-and crossbones motif over a basketball with the words “Detroit Bad Boys” was a collaboration with his art director Robin Brant.

The Detroit Pistons acquired the reputation as being “Bad Boys”  late in the 1987-88 season.  They entered training camp in the 88-89 season with a renewed focus and determination “to win it all.”  The key players established a set of rules and a style of play that demanded physical and mental toughness from every teammate. Every player had a role and they “stuck to the script.”  The “Bad Boys” were born and the rest is history.

The Detroit Bad Boys won  back-to back championships in 1989 and 1990. The Bad Boys are the Detroit Pistons; they were the “baddest” team in the National Basketball Association.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the 1989-90 Detroit Pistons "Bad Boys" Championship season. Be on the lookout for Detroit Bad Boys Brand collaborations, exclusives and promotions.
